What I say

Talking to other people, and feeling that I was finally part of a community, that other people were like me.

My niche is people in wellness, in the world of well-being. I’d much rather call myself a creator than a web designer or a web developer, because it feels like putting myself in a box: a web designer or a web developer focused on the holistic world.

So why did I quit? Because I started to become more aware of what I wanted for my future. I’d look around and think: do I want to be here five years from now? About three or four years ago, I decided to leave the startup I was at, a completely tech company.

I quit, started learning more about design, started going to more events, and started bringing my hobby and my love of being in this community together with what I knew about design, copywriting and development.

All my experience of going to yoga retreats, travelling on my own, doing a men’s retreat, going to ecstatic dances and sometimes even facilitating a sound healing myself made me realise that what I know has to be used for the other person’s purpose. If that person’s purpose is to grow, to be the best therapist in her field, I can help her, because I know how to build the best site for her.

That’s why I’d rather call myself a creator. I take people’s ideas, which are sometimes abstract, listen to them very carefully, put myself in their shoes and in their clients’ shoes, and then turn those ideas into a design that is beautiful and works, and that is what they need at that moment. I hope.

If this sounds like your work, say hello.

A message, a call or a voice note, whichever is easiest.
